This spring, the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks and Scholarship Prep launched a first-of-its-kind community partnership, bringing two brand-new programs to Scholarship Prep's South Bay and Orange County campuses.

Scholars made their way through a lineup of hands-on stations led by Oceanside's lead teachers and staff members: a bookmark decorating table, a book walk where books replaced cake walk prizes, a comic and graphic novel station, a poetry corner, and a buddy reading station hosted by ASB.

Every morning, before the first lesson begins, something important happens in Scholarship Prep classrooms across Southern California. Teachers greet Scholars by name at the door. Students settle in. And Morning Meeting begins.
