Five Campuses, One Big STEM Celebration at Scholarship Prep Open Houses

Scholarship Prep's annual STEM Open House returned this March, and in 2026, all five campuses joined in with Upland and Riverside for the first time, alongside Oceanside, Orange County, and South Bay.

The result? Hundreds of families got a firsthand look at what Friday STEM labs are all about. Scholars led demonstrations, explained their thinking, and walked parents through real problem-solving with the designs that worked, the experiments that didn't, and the "let's try this instead" moments that led to breakthroughs.

This event featured much more than polished science fair displays. It was about Scholars confidently teaching families about engineering challenges, scientific investigations, and the hands-on learning that happens across our network every single week.

For Upland and Riverside, hosting their first STEM Open House meant joining our org-wide tradition that celebrates not just what Scholars create, but how they think through problems and develop the skills to tackle challenges head-on.

STEM-Fest Open House is supported by a $400,000 grant from The Larry and Helen Hoag Foundation, which has expanded access to STEM programs across Scholarship Prep campuses in Southern California.

As families headed out and Scholars started packing up, one thing was certain: they're already thinking bigger for next year
