Scholarship Prep Charter School held its grand opening on Monday, May 7th, in celebration of its partnership with the Carson Scholars Fund and their Think Big Reading Room program which has helped bring a dedicated space to promote leisure reading as a key to unlocking a child’s full potential.

Scholarship Prep Oceanside, a TK-8th grade free public charter school has been selected to be a beneficiary of the Think Big Reading Room grant which is made possible through the generosity of the Eleni and Wolfgang Gagon Trust and Carson Scholars Fund (CSF), founded by Dr. Ben Carson and his wife, Candy.  The Reading Room will live up to Dr. Carson’s vision and goal of creating literacy enriched spaces for kids to develop a love of reading and learning. Scholarship Prep’s Reading Room features a jungle theme, replete with ambient sounds, music, and jungle-themed decor to inspire literary “ed-ventures”!
