Hello,
I am fortunate to be a member of the founding faculty here at Scholarship Prep Charter School - Oceanside.
I grew up here locally and love San Diego County! I received my Bachelors Degree in Child Development from Humboldt State University.
My husband and I moved to Truckee, Ca. and I attended Sierra Nevada College in the beautiful Incline Village, Lake Tahoe. I received a K-8 Multiple Subjects Teacher's Credential and began teaching Kindergarten at Verdi Elementary. My passion for teaching the "littles" began.
Although we loved living in the Reno/ Tahoe area, I missed my family. We moved back to the area in 2009. My husband and I have two amazing daughters, two spoiled dogs, one playful cat and three chickens. We live in the Vista foothills and enjoy spending time with family and friends. I enjoy nature; going to the beach and walking amongst the Redwood Forest are at the top of my list. I love the smell of rain, a new book, barbecue and fresh cut grass. I also enjoy star gazing and playing with my dogs. I love to travel and eat good food.
I really enjoy being a Kindergarten Teacher. It keeps me connected to the simple wonders of our world that are easy to see past as life becomes more complicated. I have high expectations for my students and teach them to respect themselves, others and their education. I strive to create a positive, supportive, and engaging classroom for my scholars.
