In Social Studies, we are learning about jobs people do around our school. Our AMAZING, FABULOUS custodian, Mr. Escobar, came to speak at our class about the many duties he had on a typical day. The kids love him!!!! Much Respect
Hello, I am fortunate to be a member of the founding faculty here at Scholarship Prep Charter School - Oceanside. I grew up here locally and love San Diego County! I received my Bachelors Degree in Child Development from Humboldt State University.
My husband and I moved to Truckee, Ca. and I attended Sierra Nevada College in the beautiful Incline Village, Lake Tahoe. I received a K-8 Multiple Subjects Teacher's Credential and began teaching Kindergarten at Verdi Elementary. My passion for teaching the "littles" began.
Although we loved living in the Reno/ Tahoe area, I missed my family. We moved back to the area in 2009. My husband and I have two amazing daughters, two spoiled dogs, one playful cat and three chickens. We live in the Vista foothills and enjoy spending time with family and friends. I enjoy nature; going to the beach and walking amongst the Redwood Forest are at the top of my list. I love the smell of rain, a new book, barbecue and fresh cut grass. I also enjoy star gazing and playing with my dogs. I love to travel and eat good food.
I really enjoy being a Kindergarten Teacher. It keeps me connected to the simple wonders of our world that are easy to see past as life becomes more complicated. I have high expectations for my students and teach them to respect themselves, others and their education. I strive to create a positive, supportive, and engaging classroom for my scholars.
