Can you believe it is almost November? Here is a little classroom update!
Book Fair: The Book Fair is this week!! This is a very exciting time for scholars and teachers. Books are an important contributor to student success! You can always use arbookfind.com when you are at the book fair (or any library) to ensure you are purchasing books that are in your scholar's reading level. You may visit the Book Fair before and after school with your scholar on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. As a class, we will be visiting the Book Fair on Tuesday to make a wishlist and then again on Thursday to purchase books.
Spirit Week: This week is spirit week!
- Tuesday: Wear your favorite team's jersey or shirt
- Wednesday: Neon and sunglasses day
- Thursday: Crazy hair and crazy socks
- Friday: University shirt
(scholars who purchased a university shirt received their shirt today- if your scholar would still like a t-shirt, they are $10)
Literature Day: Literature Day is next week! Scholars may dress up as their favorite book character. Don't forget to bring the novel to school! They will be sharing it with the class. Remember, no masks or costume weapons. Also, please remember that if your scholar chooses not to participate he or she needs to remain in school dress code.
Reading Points: As we talked about in conferences, scholars need approximately 18 points by October 31. Please make sure your scholar is reading at home. Reading is so important for all academic success! I will be changing up the reading packets here soon. Scholars will have different types of packets to choose from. It will be the same routine, just different activities.
Amazon Wishlist: Many families ask what I need for the classroom. I will attach a link to our classroom Amazon wish list. I am extremely thankful for all the generous families. Please do not feel like you need to purchase anything off of this list. This is just a quick and easy way for you to purchase things for our classroom if you choose. I will be updating the wish list as things come up. Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
October 23-25 is SPCS’s Scholastic Book Fair. Please watch for your scholar’s wish-list. You will have a few options for purchasing books:

You can come and shop before and after school with your scholar(s). See the Book Fair flyer for shopping times.
