Changemakers PBL Launch

Changemakers Project
And just like that, we're off to another start of a busy semester as we launch our next PBL!

We were very excited to launch the Changemakers Project (CMP) 7-8. This semester’s project based learning (PBL) project will encourage our students to take a look at their own communities, identify what areas need help, what negative effects it has the community and to reflect what they can do to be changemakers within this community. This came to life as we ran out of room on the whiteboard when we listed the problems that were relevant to each student. The students then got to chose a topic to answer the Driving Question: What can we do as middle school students to become highly effective changemakers in our community?

The students will be interviewing local organizations, interview community leaders, participate in community service, and present this information in a public service announcement PSA, Informational paper, and poster. We are confident our students will do a great job and most of all be changemakers!

All of this information and more was sent home in a parent letter last Friday. Please look for more information to come. As always thank you for your support.
