Analogous Color Californias Grades 3-8
Posted on October 7, 2019
Each student was tasked with using their color wheels to choose 3 analogous colors to use in their watercolor California paintings. After learning about and sampling different techniques, students used the "wet on wet" technique plus splattering to create these beauties!

What is a Zentangle?
Posted on September 20, 2019
A Zentangle is a form of organized doodling using only lines to create patterns. Ask your scholar what the difference is between a line and a shape. I bet there answers will surprise you! I'm really proud of the effort and craftsmanship our art scholars showed off with this project. With each project, our students will be asked to evaluate their own work using a variety of worksheets. (seen here is one of those self evaluation worksheets.) These projects will stay at school so that we have options to choose from to be part of our school wide art show that will take place sometime in the second semester. Stay tuned for more details!
