Scholars worked as teams to solve how many tens are in 1000. Many different ideas showed that there's more than one way to come to the answer!

Scholars rolled the die to collect straws to make tens and bundle. Using Place Value charts they made on their desks, they continued to collect until they could make hundreds. Friendly competition led to some exciting outcomes!
