Today Team V blew me away with the in depth analysis and critical thinking skills with our novel, Bud Not Buddy. A big thanks to Catalina for helping fill it in.
I am honored and grateful to lead our 5th and 6th grade classes. It is always humbling when working with students because I learn from them everyday and I know this year I will learn an immense amount from my Scholars. We are a Team- Team V- and our journey this year will be filled with trials and tribulations and our Team will bring our best effort everyday. I firmly believe we are going to not only positively change our school community but also in our local and global communities.
I was born and raised in Massachusetts and attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst attaining my BA in Sociology with Spanish Minor. I studied in Sevilla, Spain in 1996 and that experience gave me the drive to see more of our world. After college, I moved to Prague, Czech Republic for two years to teach English. I then moved to Italy to work as a tour guide in Rome. These enriching experiences have molded who I am today. I moved to San Diego in 2004 and attained my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in 2008. I am currently working on attaining my Master's in Education with an Administrative Credential.
